Kay so we’ve been working on coding projects nonstop, which is partially why I haven’t been blogging. However, I did want to do a quick check in to talk about a surprising roadblock I hit.

Github PR comment about how I need to talk through my code projects

Yeah, I definitely learn languages better when I hear and say new concepts. I hadn’t actively considered my personal learning style too much before starting Ada. I’m realizing now that I gravitated toward undergrad courses that involved lots of speaking. For example, creative writing workshops with critiques or German language courses that placed an emphasis on conversation.

I’ll need to keep this in mind as I move forward with my upcoming solo projects. As a freelance writer, I would often read my work aloud before submitting it, since it helped me catch errors. Seems like it would be a good idea to continue this practice with my code!
