Kay so we’ve been working on coding projects nonstop, which is partially why I haven’t been blogging. However, I did want to do a quick check in to talk about a surprising roadblock I hit. Yeah, I definitely learn languages better when I hear and say new concepts. I hadn’t actively considered my personal learning style too much before starting Ada. I’m realizing now that I gravitated toward undergrad courses that involved lots of speaking....

Scribbles. Loose scribbles. That’s really all my brain can process at the moment. I don’t think I can adequately organize my thoughts on my early Ada Developers Academy days into a very coherent blog post. So far, I’m absolutely loving my experience. I placed my hands on a keyboard, started coding, looked up, and hey! A week went flying by! Time travel is real. It’s difficult to focus on anything else, because it feels like a large portion of my brain’s processing power is always chewing on something code-related in the background....

Changing my sleep schedule in time for school was a major concern. I had to go from extreme late night hours to reluctantly getting up for my city’s 9-5. I could wax poetic about my former night owl schedule and how awesome it was to write, bike around, hang out with other night owls, and *have the entire quiet world to ourselves. * BUT this isn’t the blog post for that....
